The difference between the two games is that in European Roulette there is a single zero and in American Roulette there is a double zero. This means you have better odds of winning when you play European Roulette since there is only one zero.

* If you’re going to bet on the inside numbers then you should always make sure you’re covering more then one single number. You should spread your bets out and you should also make use of corner bets and split bets. A corner bet allows you to cover 4 numbers on the table and a split bet allows you to cover 2 numbers. You can place small bets on the corner and split bets and it might help you break even if you don’t hit your main numbers.
